Editorial Policy

How TVK Tracker verifies and labels public information.

Read how TVK Tracker verifies sources, labels claims, handles corrections, and avoids republishing copyrighted articles.

Source Standards

TVK Tracker prioritizes official government releases, official TVK pages, Election Commission records, court or statutory records, and established news publishers. Each tracker item should include a source name, source URL, date, category, and status label.

Original Summaries

Editors should write short original summaries in their own words and link readers to the original publisher for full context. Full copyrighted articles, full transcripts, and copied paywalled content should not be republished.

Unverified Claims

Rumours, early reports, search results, and user-submitted claims should be labelled Needs Verification or held for review. Political claims should not be presented as fact unless supported by a reliable source.

Corrections

Corrections should update the summary, source, status, and last-reviewed date. When a material correction is made, editors should keep the language clear and avoid silently turning uncertain claims into verified claims.

Advertising Boundary

Ads should not be placed in the admin dashboard, beside unreviewed user comments, or inside correction and policy workflows. User-generated content remains pending by default until a moderator approves it.
