Agam housing scheme announced for 2,500 sanitation workers

The vijay.com press record says Social Justice Minister Vanni Arasu announced an Agam housing scheme to build 2,500 permanent concrete houses for sanitation workers who do not have adequate housing. The same grants update also refers to a Tribal Cultural Centre at Nandanam in Chennai. TVK Tracker records the Agam item as a worker-welfare and social-justice announcement. It is related to sanitation-worker welfare, but it does not by itself complete the separate manifesto promise on salary or regularisation unless the government releases service-condition orders. The next public checks are eligibility rules, whether contract and municipal workers are both covered, district-wise house allocation, land or title requirements, beneficiary selection, construction tendering, unit cost, completion certificates, grievance route, and whether sanitation-worker unions consider the scheme sufficient or ask for wage and regularisation action separately.

The item should be treated cautiously until a stronger official or established publisher source is available.
