Times of India and Business Standard reported a broad infrastructure and industry package announced around August 31, including major electricity transmission works, a 1,600 MW super-critical power project in Thoothukudi, Chennai distribution upgrades, a semiconductor and electronics manufacturing park at Maduramangalam in Kanchipuram district, a FinTech Hub in Coimbatore, and a multi-modal logistics hub in the Tiruchirappalli region.
