Madurantakam and Dharapuram prepare for October 6 bypolls

The New Indian Express reports that Vijay and AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami are preparing to campaign for the October 6 by-elections in Madurantakam and Dharapuram. TVK has nominated Maragatham Kumaravel and P. Sathyabama, who won these constituencies on AIADMK tickets in the Assembly election. Their change of party is therefore a central campaign issue. These are forthcoming contests, not election results. The practical information for residents is the election schedule, final candidate list and official polling arrangements. Campaign speeches can explain party positions but cannot establish voter support or predict the result. This entry belongs to the political timeline rather than the promise-completion count: a nomination changes the electoral contest, whereas government delivery requires separate administrative evidence.
